The students in Grade 1 and 2 transitioned well to Remote Learning after Spring Break. We meet each morning at 9 a.m. Students enjoy seeing each other and sharing stories, showing their newest toys or just chatting. Students continue to do Bible, Math, Reading, Phonics, Spelling and Social Studies. In Bible we have been learning what it means to be merciful – kind and compassionate. Jesus showed His mercy when He died on the cross for us. In Social Studies we have been learning about our Local Community. Last week we had a special virtual visit by our favourite children’s author, Carolyn J. Morris. She brought 3 of her baby chicks with her. We learned many new facts about chicks.
