Term 3 has begun, and the students are learning lots of new and exciting things.  In Math the Grade 1’s are learning Math Facts to 10 and the Grade 2’s are learning to add and subtract double digit numbers.  During our Reading block, we are reading through the Easter story together.  In Phonics and Spelling the Grade 1’s are learning long vowel words and the Grade 2’s are learning how to add an ending and a suffix to a word.  In Science we just finished our unit on Simple Machines, and we have started learning about our local community in Social Studies.  In Bible we are learning about Daniel and the importance of being faithful to God, even when things get tough.  During our morning devotions we are reading “Benjamin’s Box” and learning about the different symbols that represent parts of the Easter story.
