Hello everyone! Just a few pointers and reminders before we get going with Remote Learning on Monday…
Notes:
1. Students are expected to be in the scheduled yellow slots. Orange slots are optional, but encouraged. Teachers are available for help during the teal slots.
2. Use the links in the cells to access the meeting each day. Check in advance to make sure you can access Google Meet and that the links work for you. Password for laptops to install software, add printers, etc is ACCS2018 or ACCS.
3. For the “Office Hour” sessions (blue), remain in or just re-enter the live room (we’ll see how that works with the breaks)
4. There is a break before and after yellow blocks
5. Attendance will be taken for all yellow block sessions. Students are to stay in the room until dismissed.
6. We invite students to use the blue slots to ask questions that arise while doing their work
7. Teachers will let you know what work has to be turned in and how.
1. Be in an appropriate space (not in bed, bathroom) and typical school day clothes. Make sure the background does not include a bright light or window and that it is appropriate for others to see.
2. Avoid eating/drinking during the yellow sessions.
3. Screen names must be the student’s own proper name.
4. No private chatting except as directed by the teacher.
6. Students must have learning materials readily accessible (one suggestion is to have a bin per child nearby).
7. Participation is encouraged, but raise hands and wait to be acknowledged.
8. Request to leave for washroom breaks, etc (although the sessions are not long and breaks should not normally be necessary).
9. Enter your room with your camera on and your sound off. Cameras are to remain on unless instructed otherwise by the teacher.
