Dear Parents and Other Friends,
May you be blessed as you consider Psalm 18:2: “The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer; My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” No other refuge will do. No other strength is enough. No more is required.

MAP tests have been completed this week. Thank you, parents for everything you have had to do to support that process, and students for your diligence in doing your best at these tests. It will be great to see the results! They will be included with the emailed report cards. The Spring Parent Meeting was a success: many attended and heard reports, reviewed the budget and heard Mr. Pelleboer’s encouraging words. Our enrolment for September is presently at 84. Just a few weeks left!

ACCS is awesome! This is from the perspective of a staff member who is also a parent, so, you could say biased, but it’s first-hand. When we arrived at ACCS in January 2018, we found a friendly, welcoming, bully-free environment for our kids. I don’t know where you would find more committed parents and more dedicated teachers and support people. We still find it to be so! Pass the word around!
Another recent visitor said …
My son’s comment was that he felt like everyone in the class wanted to be his friend, which is not what is happening at his school presently. I was overjoyed at his response to the visit. You have a wonderful school there.
While in my office, he was pleading with his mom, “Mom, please let me goto this school! Please!” 🙂

How do you respond to this admonition?
1 Peter 3:15  “But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”

Please help! We invite people to join our volunteer team. There are many jobs available such as the feature task of the week: exterior window-cleaning.
Send us an email or call if you think you can help with this.

Prayer Corner:
Do you want to change the world? Pray for  Niger. The following is from a prayer from the Valley of Vision.
Lord God, high and holy, meek and lowly, You have brought me to the valley of vision, where I live in the depths but see You in the heights; hemmed in by mountains of sin, I behold Your glory. Let me learn by paradox that the way down is the way up, that to be low is to be high, that the broken heart is the healed heart, that the contrite spirit is the rejoicing spirit, that the repenting soul is the victorious soul, that to have nothing is to possess all, that to bear the cross is to wear the crown, that to give is to receive, that the valley is the place of vision. Lord, in the daytime stars can be seen from deepest wells, and the deeper the wells the brighter Your stars shine; let me find Your light in my darkness, Your life in my death, Your joy in my sorrow, Your grace in my sin, Your riches in my poverty, Your glory in my valley. We praise You for Mrs. Gillard (one of our Office Receptionists and Administrative Assistants). We are so thankful for her work and the blessing of who she is. We also cannot thank You enough for the progress our struggling students have made; for the support they receive and for the way they feel loved and supported at ACCS. I surrender everything to you in Jesus. Amen.
