Dear Parents and Friends,
We are blessed in many ways! The Spring Break was a beautiful time of rest and renewal. Field preparations are underway and nature is rallying for another exciting season. What’s more, school is back on! We are glad to say the pick up and drop off went very smoothly on Tuesday, so all was set for a smooth start on Wednesday. It’s not really something we would like to become good at through practice, but Remote Learning 3.0 will soon be past! We have made some important accommodations for those who require additional learning support, so we are happy about that.
For our theme this week we have Praise and Adoration. Would you just take a look at what 1 Chronicles 29:11, 12 says? Do you agree with how I have chunked the lines? I found that to be a helpful exercise. I love to think of the fact that God rules over all, and that all that is great, belongs to Him! Take a minute to notice that last phrase too–does that give you courage?
Yours, O Lord, is the greatness,
The power and the glory,
The victory and the majesty;
For all that is in heaven and in earth is Yours;
Yours is the kingdom, O Lord,
And You are exalted as head over all.
Both riches and honour come from You,
And You reign over all.
In Your hand is power and might;
In Your hand it is to make great
And to give strength to all.

Do you realize that ACCS is now in its 39th year? Think of the lives that have been impacted by God’s blessing over the years! It is great to be a small part of that with you! We extend our condolences to the Noordegraaf family at the entrance of Ben’s dad into glory! It’s sad for those left behind. We also take a moment to welcome new friends into our community. The _ are the new ministry family serving the Christian Reformed Church in Alliston. We wish them blessings as they minister to our families.

A reminder from the Board:
This is a reminder that FAST applications are due in 10 days. If you think you may require tuition assistance for the 2021/22 school year, please ensure you fill out an application (https://www.allistonccs.com/financialaid/)  by April 30th.

Btw…Our school is a member of the Christian School Foundation. Sometimes people hear the word “Foundation” and they think they can only arrange gifts that are held forever (“in perpetuity”), but that is not the case. Our Foundation has many different ways that you can arrange to support our school! If you’d like to learn more, contact office@christianschoolfoundation.ca and we will help make this happen!

DId you know that we subscribe to Creation magazine? We recommend it to you! Consider this interesting fact… As the moon does not have an atmosphere, there is no water or wind to erase the footprints made by the astronauts who landed on it. So the footprints could stay there for a 100 million years!
As for general trivia about Canada, did you know … Ocean Falls, British Columbia has, on average, 330 days of rain per year? Nice!

How would you respond to this observation?

Prayer Corner:
Do you want to change the world? Pray for  Tonga.
Lord of the Universe. Lord of this planet. Lord of the nations. Lord of our hearts…
In response to our heartfelt repentance, God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, Father of Jesus Christ, in keeping with all Your righteous acts and according to Your promise, turn away Your anger and Your wrath from Canada. For the glory of Your Name, hear our prayer, forgive our sin, and heal our land. We ask this in the name of Your Son Jesus Christ who offers us salvation from Your judgment, forgiveness for our sin, and reconciliation with You through His own blood shed on the Cross.
We also lift up to You Mrs. Span (our Grade 3/4 teacher); give her continued joy and strength in serving You at ACCS.
We give You humble and heart-felt thanks that the message of Hope and Light in Jesus is central at ACCS! May it ever be so! Amen.
