Dear Parents and Friends,
We live in a world of self-sufficiency and independence. Most of us are reluctant to acknowledge that we need help, even when it is obvious to others we do. I can just hear myself as a parent saying, “Why do you wait to ask help until you fail?”, not even imagining God is smiling compassionately about my own tendency to do the same! Are you ready for some good news? In John 14:26, Jesus promises, “But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and bring to your remembrance all things that I said to you.” I love Him for that! He is right there knowing what I will need, offering a solution greater than I could hope for! When we read the Word of God, the Bible, He pours out that help into our hearts and minds–into our families–verse by verse. The first form of 1:1 tutoring!

Let’s honestly weigh our weekly chapels, mission emphasis weeks, and our family cohort groups–what is the benefit? Intangible but real, I would say. The Word has a transforming effect on our kids too. The principles of loving others and the importance of sharing the good news with others, trickle down into their lives little by little. Sometimes God let’s a little seed planted in a simple chapel session become an agent for a life-long course change!
Let’s keep on praying for that!

The March Break is now a few weeks away still but we are already in maple syrup weather–cold nights and above-zero days! Soon we will see the miracle of life unfold before our eyes again, as well as the miracle of how far mud tracks into the school from its place of origin! Thanks for supplying your kids with good indoor shoes to change into!

We were very pleased that one of our students, Calvin R, won a provincial first place with the Royal Canadian Legion for his Remembrance Day poem. It is an excellent piece! Congratulations, Calvin!

Report cards have been released with numerous other goodies. MAP test results were ONLY distributed electronically. You are encouraged to schedule interviews with the teachers at https://www.allistonccs.com/ptc/ as soon as you can. The interview sessions are short but are a good opportunity to touch base with the teachers.

Something to consider: “Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” —Anonymous

Prayer Corner: Do you wish you would pray for other countries more, but don’t know where to start? Pray for  Saint Kitts and Nevis.
Heavenly Father,
Today, I pray for justice in Canada. Grant wisdom to both judges and jurors. Guide and direct the members of our Supreme Court. Turn their hearts toward You and open their eyes to the importance of our religious freedoms and the value of life . . . every life. Anoint our Prime Minister to see the importance of nominating justices who believe in these principles. We commit to You our school road side sign messages. Use them to draw people to ACCS and to let people know there is a Christ-centred school here. We cannot thank You enough for our Learning Support people–for the love and care they show for our struggling ones! In Jesus’ name. Amen.
