As a homeschool family (with a small amount of time in the public school system), we are very pleased with our experiences so far at ACCS! The communication between parents and staff is excellent. It is clear that we’re all in this together. The rates are quite affordable, thanks to all the volunteers! We love that there’s a music program (vocals and instruments) and that ACCS strives to stay away from worldly songs. It’s hard to find a school which focuses on gospel and classical selections nowadays. We have a child with Down Syndrome and there is no better place for her than ACCS, thanks to her amazing teachers, EA, volunteers and classmates!
Our son is very bright, but he struggled with reading and was frustrated with school. At ACCS he got the personal attention he needed, and the teachers worked with us to identify barriers to learning and create an education plan that would help him learn. Miss Hayes was showed great wisdom in encouraging and challenging him to learn new materials without discouraging him and letting him hate school. There were struggles and a few tears, but Miss Hayes tender heart and firm hand have helped us immeasurably and our son continues his education journey with a joy for learning. Thank you, Miss Hayes. Thank you, ACCS.
When it was time for my first child to go to school, I was nervous about sending him off to kindergarten. We met personally with the principal and she answered all my questions from curriculum to music, language and theology. After observing the kindergarten class I was impressed with the respectful and peaceful atmosphere and I was convinced that my first born would be at home here at ACCS. I am happy to say that all of my children now attend ACCS and are growing physically, intellectually and spiritually everyday.
We’ve had our child in Montessori, Public school, and even Homeschooled for a year. ACCS offers the best of all of these because of the commitment to Christian Education by parents, teachers, and staff. The students, teachers, parents, and staff truly love and care for one another. Academics is important here, too. When my child returned to the public school, she found it too easy. Naturally, we returned and we are so thankful. The students are expected to do most of their schoolwork in cursive writing, which is good for developing minds as well as motor skills. Canadians shouldn’t lose the ability to read cursive. How will future generations be able to read historical documents or letters? May God bless all those considering ACCS for their own children!
